Meet the heart behind Pure Birth Doula

Hi, I’m Susie, the heart behind Pure Birth Doula. I believe every mother deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported as she welcomes her baby. My role is to bring calm reassurance, practical guidance, and compassionate care to one of life’s most meaningful experiences.

I’ve supported families throughout Northern Virginia, including Fairfax, Loudoun, and Alexandria, as well as Culpeper, Warrenton, Winchester, and surrounding communities—from first-time parents to mothers welcoming their eleventh child and beyond. My experience includes unmedicated births, epidurals, inductions, cesarean births, and VBACs. I’ve also walked alongside families navigating twins, premature birth, high-risk pregnancies, and the profound loss of a baby.

Whether you’re planning a hospital, birth center, or home birth, your preferences matter. I take time to understand what is important to you, help you explore your options, and prepare you and your partner to make informed decisions. If your plans change, you’ll have steady support to help you ask questions, communicate your wishes, and navigate each next step.

From pregnancy preparation through labor, birth, breastfeeding, and early postpartum, my care is centered on your individual needs. I bring experience, encouragement, and a deep commitment to helping you feel confident in your voice and supported in your choices.
