Giving birth at Inova Fairfax Hospital

I attend fewer births at Inova Fairfax Hospital than at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. In my experience, Fairfax has been less accommodating of VBAC preferences and non-medicated birth goals. Wireless monitors are available, although staff sometimes hesitate to use them. I have also observed a preference for continuous monitoring throughout labor, even for low-risk mothers who may be candidates for intermittent monitoring under clinical guidelines. Support and flexibility vary by provider and care team.
